About:Chinese Embassy in Jordan

As an American foreigner with only a tourist visa in Jordan can I apply for a visa to China?

Yes, you can apply in Jordan with your passport, your application form with recent taken photos, round trip tickets to China, hotel booking confirmation letter and your valid certificates of legal staying in Jordan.

As for legal staying in Jordan can i just have a 3 month tourist visa? Does thats suffice? I am not a resident in Jordan.
