ohh, I thought this blog was only for expat in S.korea. Sorry. I want to go to China, and since I'm living in S.Korea, they have as a requirement that my Alien Registration Card (ARC) in SK need to have more than 6 months previous its expiration date. This won't be a requirement if I was applying from another country (Japan for example). I don't understand the reason behind this, and it's struggling against my plans to go to China. Some people have gone without this 6 months period but the specific consulate I am applying is asking me this. I don't understand.

Maybe you can try to ask other tour agency to help to get one or you can apply from Japan.
