Can I take my violin in and out of China?

I plan to travel Germany - China - Taiwan - Japan - Germany and would like to take my violin (value 20k US$) with me for personal use. Do I need special documentation, do I need to declare the instrument upon entry and exit?

Klaus, you can take it with you and there is no need for you to declare it.
