About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Stopping over in Guangzhou for 14 hours, valid Australian passport.

My friend and I are flying back from our holiday in Europe. We have a 14 hour stopover in Guangzhou airport before heading home to Melbourne, Australia. We'd like to leave the airport and get a room at the airport hotel so we don't have to be at the airport for so long. We both have a valid Australian passport. Are we able to leave the airport without any other visas or permits?

Well, you should go to apply for 72 hours free transit and then you can exit the airport without restriction.
