About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Will I be able to travel to Shenzhen or Zhuhai during the Guangzhou 72 hour layover?

Does the 72 hours still start from 12 midnight on arrival in GZ?

Yes, you will. The 72h free visa transit allows you to travel in all the cities in Guangdong province and the time is started to be calculated from 00:00 on the next day of your arrival. Say, if u arrive at 09:00 on Jul. 1, it starts to be calculated from 00:00 on Jul. 2.
