typhoon in hk in sep?

Hi. I wanted to bring my kids to HK on 9 sept to 13 sept. This is the first time travelling with them to HK. Wanted to know whether it's a good time to go cos some articles said that it is the typhoon season. Dont want to disappoint them with bad weathers. M.LEE
