About:Chinese Zodiac Compatibility

I'm a water pig and my partners a wood Ox. My question is will we last the distance ?

Currently 6 years in and he (ox) is so difficult to communicate with , and seems to rely heavily upon my input for everything ...
Is this how it will always be or is there a strategy / strength a pig can have to get by the stubborn ox ???
