Hi,

thank you for the this article!

I am planning to do a master degree in Shanghai. I was wondering if after graduation it gets any easier to obtain a Z-type visa.
Do you necessarily need work experience to obtain one?

If you do not have any working experience, it may not be easy for you to get it. At least about two years working experience, part-time or full job, is necessary.

I faced the same problem, I've been studying in Shanghai and working at the same time for three year part time job, do you think this experience would be taken into account, since so far I heared that only full time job experience is taken into consideration?

According to Law of the People's Republic of China on Control of the Entry and Exit of Aliens, those who hold temporary resident permits must ask permission from their universities and then ask the local entry and exit management bureau to add extra information (where they do part-time jobs and how long they will do it) to their temporary resident permits before they take part-time jobs.

So you can follow the steps to get the extra information on your temporary resident permit for X1 type.
