how far is the cable car from the ticket office? I am going to visit Badaling.

It depends on which bus you take. If you take No.877 bus, you need walk around 500 meters from the bus station to reach the ticket office and then walk around 1000 meters to find the cable car terminal. If you take no. 919 or 880 bus, you can walk around 500 meters from the bus station to the cable car terminal.

thanks, does that mean that there is a ticket office for the wall near the cable station

Gorden, the ticket offices are located between No. 919 and No.877 bus stations. I do not now if the cable car teminal sells tickets for the wall. If not, you should walk aroun 500 meters to buy the tickets at the ticket offices.

There is a hotel very close to the entrance that you can go in and buy your ticket from. The charge is 40 RMB. You go through a giftshop to the counter and tell them you want to climb the wall (not cable car)
