USB STICKS and CD

Hello! I am going to spend a year in China. I would like to know if I can have my cell phone, laptop, some usb sticks and cds without declaring them at the airport of arrival or I should do so. In my suitcase I will have clothes, shoes and cosmetics. Is it OK? Thank you!

If they are just for self use, it is ok not to declare them, but you have to write down the actual info when filling in the declaration form!
