as french citizen, can i apply chinese visa from jakarta ?

hi, i am julien, new-caledonian and french, and i am married with my indonesian wife. we wish visiting china for about one week and i know we need to apply. for me and my girlfriend, when we apply in china embassy, in how long we get it? is it automatically accepted when we provide all documents required by chinese embassy? thanks in advance
