Hi, I'm a Nepalese citizen currently in Maryland with L1 type, I frequently travel to China for business purposes, can I apply from USA? And if I can, what documents would I need?

Mally, I think you can try to apply from Chinese consulate or embassy in the USA. Apart from you passport, application form and a passport photo, you should have the invitation letter from your business partner or the letter of cofirmation or invitation from the duly authorized Chinese unit and a copy of your L1 type.
