About:China Work Visa

Best way to get a visa

My daughter (English) is working in South Korea but is moving to Shanghai in August. She has been told that she will have to go to Hong Kong to get her work Z. Is this correct? She would like to go to Hong Kong via Shanghai. Is this allowed under the 72 hour rule?

It is ok for your daughter to take advantage of the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai if she travels from South Korea to Hong Kong. However, as I know, she may not able to apply for work Z in HK if she is not a HK resident.
