Type of visa required for a business trip and holiday

Please could you advise on the type required for a combined business trip and holiday.

My husband will be going to a conference in Chengdu next month, before joining an organised tour for a holiday afterwards that starts and ends in Beijing and goes to Shanghai, Xi'ian and Chengdu. He will be staying a total of 18 days in China.
