Hi, Dale. There is not bus from the mausoleum to Banpo, so you still need to take a shuttle bus to go back to the terracottar warriors. There you can try to find the bus line 307 to reach Ban Po Gong Jiao Shu Niu Station. Then walk to the Banpo Village. The bus fare is based on the numbers of the stations and it is no more than 8RMB per person.

But as I know, the buses are hard to take because its headway is long and it is always crowded with a few buses.

I think you can go back to the city proper and then use the local subway line 1 to reach Banpo Station. Then walk to the Banpo Museum.

Thank you very much.
So,the frees shuttle bus will take people to and from the terracotta warriors and the mausoleum, either direction?
I take tourist bus 5 (306) to the warriors. You say bus 307 back to Banpo.I just want to make sure this is not a type-o.
Do you know how often bus 307 operates? how long is the ride to Banpo?
If I take the bus back to the city and then take subway line 1 to Banpo, this seems like a lot more distance/time,is it not?
Thank you very much.

The free shuttle buses are operated between the terra cotta army and the mausoleum only.

Tourism bus line 2 and the bus 307 are two different types of buses. It is hard to predict the frequency of bus line 307. Sometimes, you may just wait for several minutes, but sometimes, it will even take you around one hour! It takes you almost around two hours for taking bus line 307 to Ban Po.

Yes, returning to the city and then use the subway line may take long time, but the buses will be much easier to find and take. Or you can arrange the two sites in two days. You can visit the army in the morning and then visit some attractions in the city proper in the late afternoon and at night. Then head for Banpo by subway on the next morning ~~ Just for your reference.
