nearest recommended suburb to visit within 7 hours before flight from guangzhou airport

Question

My kids and I will have about 7 hours at the Baiyun Intl Airport after arriving from Zhuhai.   Where is the recommended nearest town or suburb to the airport and which metro stop do we alight at to have a meal and shop a little, before we head back to Baiyun Airport to catch our flight? We need to check in at 11 p.m. Will the metro trains still be operating at that time?

You may take the local subway line 3 (North Branch) to West Tiyu Road Station. Then you can walk to the Tianhe Road, where you can find many shopping malls along that road. The restaurants can also be found. Then you can still take the same line from the same station to go back to the airport. The last train from the West Tiyu Road Station to the airport is at around 23:00, so you can definitely take this line to go back to the airport. Hope the information will help you ~
