As a bunch of foreigners travelling to Hohhot for 4 days, we were wondering which grassland would be best to visit and stay at, and how many nights you recommend we stay there for? Which one is less touristy? If we stayed in the yurts for two nights would there be enough to do? Thanks!

I suggest you to go to the HuItengxile Grassland, close to Hohhot. You can take a train from Hohhot to Zhouzishan Station or go to the Hohhot West Bus Station to take a bus for Zhouzishan. (If you want to take a bus, you are suggested to go to the bus station in the morning.)From Zhouzishan, you can hire a local car to that grassland. The bus fare is around 80 to 100RMB. You can stay there for around two nights. If you want to enjoy the real and perfect grassland, Hulun Buir Grassland is the best place to go. Maybe you can consider it.
