About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My husband is an airline pilot from the USA and I would like to join him on a round trip to PVG.

Do I need visa or may I use transit? Scheduled layover is 48 hrs. If transit, how do I use transit?

Hi, if it is a round trip, you have to apply for a tourist L in advance from Chinese embassy/consulate in your place.
