About:China Visa on Arrival

VOA with invitation letter type #3

I am a British National and have an invitation letter from my business client in Xuzhou stating I am needed to carryout inspection and testing of equipment at their manufacturing site. I will be flying into Shanghai and getting the train to Xuzhou for the inspection and flying out of Shanghai 6 days later. I couldn't get a visa at the embassy due to business trips. Will the above circumstances meet the criteria for a VOA?

Hi, it is ok if you do have no time to apply for it in advance. But as I know, most airlines will not let you fly if you do have not a valid China visa in your passport. So, better try to apply in advance using rush service if possible.

I was not allowed to get on the flight by mahan air. Will other flight operators such as Emirates do the same? I really need to carry out the inspections and have until tomorrow to get there. It seems silly that the service is available but is impossible since I can't get on the plane. It is my only option as I am in between business trips and won't be able to travel back to UK in time to get the visa, nor can I get the visa here as I am non resident.

I think you need to call the Emirates Airlines to confirm this. I have no idea how they deal with this situation.
