About:Drinking Water in China

Would it be helpful to have a water disinfecting system that uses ultraviolet light (like SterPEN)?

We are going for a 29 day group tour to China and Tibet. As a former packbacker, I have used various systems to make stream water safe for drinking. Is a UV-C sterilizing pen a good alternative to buying mineral water? Thanks.

Diane, ultraviolet light water disinfecting system is useful. However, I still don't think it's a good idea to drink stream water, especially for a person who goes to a totally different area she has never been there before. If possible, I think you'd better drink bottle water instead of stream water for the sake of your health.
