Monzoons in August for Taipei

Hi there! I am planning to visit the city around mid or end of August. May I expect heavy rains? Is it muggy during this season?

Yes, heavy rain may happen during that according to the weather forecast in the past years. You are recommended to prepare rainy gear in advance. And it will be sweltering during that time indeed. Do prepare enough summer clothes.
