Question about trekking in Tiger Leaping Gorge, this July.

Hi,

I'm interested in visiting Lijiang City this coming July. and plan on doing a 2-3 days trekking at Tiger Leaping Gorge.

I'm a bit confused as to how the weather in July really is and is it safe for trekking? Some website says its Summer now, but some web info says it rains a lot, And if the later information is true, I'll be re-planning my visits to interesting sites in Lijiang instead.

Thank you very much. :D

Yes, July is the summer time for that place and is also the local rainy season. It may easily rain in summer time.
If it will not rain, it is safe to trek. If it rains, sometimes, the TLG will be close for safety. In my opinion, you can prepare some simple equipment for trekking the gorge. After you reach LJ, you can decide whether to hike based on the weather condition.
