Entering/leaving with a Foreign Expert Certificate

Quick question... I have gone through all the steps to obtain a FEC after entering on a z-visa: health examination, went to the police station, and my employer did all the paper work so that no I am indeed the proud owner of a Foreign Expert Certificate. It is, however, unclear to me whether this passport-looking FEC suffices to leave and enter at will. My employer suggests it does, but I am not so sure - some websites mention that a visa-like sticker will be entered in my passport, but this hasn't been part of the administrative ordeal.

So here's my question. There is nothing in my passport that indicates that I am allowed to enter China, so I have to assume that the FEC does the trick. Is this correct? And if so, no foreseeable issues with airlines that have no clue what a FEC is, and insist on a 'regular' type in my passport?

Hi, do you mean you entered China with a working Z, then apply for Foreign Expert after entry? if yes, you are lucky, and you need to apply for a residence permit at local PSB based on your working contract. This permit can be used to enter and exit China freely.

Because generally you have to get work permit first then apply for work Z. Now you just need to apply for residence permit at local PSB without leaving.
