Hi,I am going to Hong Kong and will like to visit China for a day. How and what are the requirements to obtain it in Trinidad. Thanks

Yes, you can apply in Trinidad if you hold Trinidad passprot of course. For one day trip, I think only the flight or train/ferry ticket is enough. BTW, it is possible for you to apply in HK as well.
