transfer from hkg airport end of line to island line

Question

Hi, From the airport on the AEL, the line ends short of the Island Line. How do you get from the AEL green line to the Island Line? I see a thin black line connecting these two lines, is this a protected walkway or something? Is it easy to transit this with luggage? I don't know HKG at all.  Thanks!

After getting to HK Station by AE train, you can just walk in the MTR station directly to Central Station for Island Line according to very clear guiding signs. It takes 10-20min and it won't be very hard to walk with luggage! Don't walk out of the MTR station, or you may get lost.
