Transfer from HKG Airport "end of line" to Island Line

Hi,

From the airport on the AEL, the line ends short of the Island Line. How do you get from the AEL green line to the Island Line? I see a thin black line connecting these two lines, is this a protected walkway or something? Is it easy to transit this with luggage? I don't know HKG at all. Thanks!
