confused about the issue date of the visa.

Question

Hi, I am travelling to China in October and am wondering when I can apply for it. The PRC website indicates that it will be valid for three months from date of issue. Does this mean that I need to wait to apply later in the year or will they issue one in my passport now with dates that are valid for my dates of travel?

Hi, a single entry visa is only valid for 3 months from the issue date, that means you can not apply too early. The best time for application is one month before your departure.
