Rabbit (1987) and Dog (1982) compatibility?

Hi, my boyfriend (dog) and myself (rabbit) have been together several months. When it is good, it is the best I have ever had. When it is bad, it is the worst. Both of us are so strong headed, but will this really work in the end. I've loved before, so I know what this is. And I can tell you it is the strongest I have ever felt for someone (and I was married previously). Will it work? -Thanks
