Hi, you are right. You need to fill 2013 version application form. In order to apply for the L type, you need to provide round-trip air tickets and hotel booking. So you may write your hotel address down when you fill that form. Yes, you can submit all your applications and pick up your visas on their behalf. However, your families should fill the forms on their own unless they are still children.

What is the meaning of L type.? Do i need to submit the original passport for the visa application? One of my travelling team is still in UK so I wont have his passport in hand to apply for the application.

L type refers to tourist type issued to those who travel to China. Yes, original passport is required.
