Yes, it is possible, but only train train operates this journey every day - K2504/K2501, taking around 18h and 20min.

It looks like the long distance bus is the best, do you know if there is a service from the long distance bus station at Pudong Airport or if I have to go to the bus station in the city.

From Pudong airport, there is no long distance bus to reach Rizhao, but from the two main long-distance bus stations, there are direct buses for Rizhao.
From the south long-distance bus station, there are four direct buses at 10:32, 17:31, 19:01 and 19:50. From the SH Long-distance bus station at No. 1666, Zhongxing Road, there are more buses at 10:50, 12;10, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, 19:30 and 20:00.

From airport to the south bus station, you can take the airport shuttle bus line 7 to reach its terminal at the south railway station and then walk to the south bus station. To reach the long-distance bus station, you can take the airport shuttle bus line 5 to reach the terminal at the railway station and then walk to the bus station.
