hongchun xidi diy tour

Question

I will stay a night in Tangkou after coming down from Huangshan mountain.  I plan to leave Tangkou early morning to catch earliest bus to tour Hongchun and then take bus to Xidi before taking bus to my hotel in Tunxi old street. Or should I ask for hotel to arrange a private car for the day tour to Hongchun and Xidi and arrive Tunxi late afternoon?

I think you can travel on your own. From Tangkou, the first bus for Hongcun is at around 07:40. From Hongcun, you can hire a local car to Xidi. From Xidi Bus Station, frequent buses can be found to reach Yixian, where you can find frequent buses to HS General Bus Station. The buses are frequent, so please do not worry.
