About:China Customs Declaration

I would like to take gifts. The idea is to take carved wooden animals and decorated ostrich eggs.

Is it allowed to take wood carvings or commercially decorated ostrich eggs into China, or are these not permitted?

What kind of wood it is? If it is very common wood, it is ok to take into China. But the decorated ostrich egg is forbidden to be taken in.

Hi. It is wood from the Jacaranda tree which us fairly common in South Africa. Thanks
