aiport bus no 2 - from tianfu square to chengdu shuangliu airport - how long does it take?

We need to be at the airport at 8:30 Wednesday 18th June. How long does it take to go from Tianfu Square to the airport normally? Could we risk a lot of traffic at this hour? Is it in an alternative to take the metro? Thanks in advance!

It takes around an hour. The first bus leaves the terminus at 06:30 and it shall be aorund 06:50 when you board shuttle bus line 2 at Tianfu Square. Then time is enough to reach the airport by 08:30. As it will be during morning rush hours, it will be very crowded on subway, so don't take that!
