About:Macau Visa Policy

Does this mean I need a multi-entry Chinese visa because I want to visit Macau?

I'm traveling to China and Hong Kong in September, and I'd like to visit Macau as well.

Hi, leaving for HK, or Macao counts an exit from mainland China. But a double entry is enough if you visit Macao from HK, and then back to mainland again.
