which year of 100yuan notes still can be used in Beijing? 1999?

is it true that the yuan notes must be new? (not folded, not torn, not crumpled?

So far, five editions of RMB have been issued. The fourth and the fifth edition are still in circulation. However, some people may refuse to accept the fourth edition RMB. So, you'd better use the fifth edition issued in 1999. It doesn't require that Chinese yuan you use must be brand-new.
