On my last horse year, I was fired from a volunteered job. The bully boss fired me on my birthday. This horse year stinks too, I can't get the new job to line up properly. I waited 6 months on a stupid clearance to go through and now they just told me they lost it and those mfrs told me to wait another year. I'm worn out man.

If you can buy time, try waiting to next year. It'll get better in the goat year. Like yourself, I'm a monkey too and as a general rule. My worst has always been #1 horse, #2, tiger, and #3 rabbit. Best are #1 Snake, #2 Dragon, #3 Rat, #4 Ox, #5 Dog, #6 Rooster, #7Pig, #8 Goat, and #9 Monkey. Sometimes looking back I wish I had taken the other lower paid job and move on. I received 5 offers last year in the year of the Snake! I accepted this offer because it pays the highest but it also needs special paperwork and they keep losing my paperwork. It's already been 6 months and they just lost it again URGGGGHHHH and I'm pulling my hair out as we speak. So frustrated I'm feeling like kicking myself right now cuz the new job won't let me start until the paperwork is processed. I hate horse year. I absolutely hate horse years.
