is pig and snake relationship will lead to separation or will be miserable/poor?

My uncle is a Feng Shui expert and my mom is trying to separate me (pig) and gf (snake). They say we are a bad match and if we continue, we will just separate or have a misreable life. Financially we will suffer as poor as a rat. Is there anything we can do? Pls. help.
