About:Mutianyu Great Wall Travel Review

Which part of the wall to visit?

Hi, We are very adventurous and do not like crowds or the vendors selling everything. we want to explore the remote parts of the wall with some solitude? Steep or crumbling areas is not a problem (maybe better), and would like a very beautiful part of the wall. We have narrowed it down to: Jainkou area, or Jinshanling to Simitai hike or the mutianyu area.

Which one is best for us? We will hire a car for the whole day to maximize our time at the wall. Any insight or opinion would be great. Thank you!

Jinshanling section is reocommended to you. Mutianyu is a popular wall spot just followed Badaling, so it will be crowded. Jiankou area is connected with Mutianyu, also may not be that quiet. Simatai is newly opened after restoration and only reservation travel is accpected, not that convenient though.
