About:China Customs Declaration

Personal Consumption Food items. Will I have trouble at Customs?

I'm leaving for China next week. I'm thinking of taking small quantity (maximum 1kg) of coffee, South African biltong/jerky, and biscuits with me for personal consumption. I'm thinking twice after reading your posts.

It's ok for you to bring the listed items into PRC. Don't worry about Biltong. It won't cause you a problem as it has been cooked.
