new passport change residence permit

Hi is it possible to get a new residence permit issued in another country?I have a valid residence permit in my passport but the problem is the number of pages left, I only have 2.I wish to go to Thailand during the summer break where I live and have a new passport issued there.Can I get a new residence permit in the new passport?Thankyou

Hi, you can enter China first with your valid residence permit, then apply for renewal of residence permit at local PSB where you reside/work.
