Get a Chinese Visa as a danish citizen in Japan

Hi.

Im now studying in Shanghai for 3 month. I have an F in my passport and arrived 15. april in Shanghai. When I’m finishing studying in the end of june, I want to go to Japan. So I want to go to Tokyo i start of july (29. june) to visit some friends and family. After one week in Tokyo, I want to go back to China (6. july) for rest of july, before going back to my home country, Denmark.

I july i China I want to travel around whit my family, who is coming from Denmark.

The person here at my university told me, that I shut go to the Chines Embassy in Tokyo, so I can get a tourist L for july month.
Is it right? Is it possible? How many days will it takes?
