72 hours visa as transit from Hong Kong to Palau

I arrived in Shanghai from Amsterdam. It does not allow entry after 20 May. I will leave for Palau and later the USA on 27 May. Can I go to Hong Kong or Macau on 21 May, come back on 25 May and be covered by the 72 hours transit.

Hi, it is fine as long as you have flight ticket well-prepared, which is leaving from Shanghai to Palau within 72 hours.
