is it possible to travel with a cat by bus from guangzhou to zhanjiang

Question

I need to go to Guangzhou from ZJ and wonder if I can go there with my cat - I would be willing to pay extra for the cat but will have her in a carrier on my lap. Is this done and it is allowed?  Thanks.

According to the rules, the cat is not allowed to take onto the bus. But I once saw some Chinese people took their dogs on the bus, but their dogs are not so big and they carry the dogs inside the small bags or pets special cases. So I think carry pets secretly is possible. The real situation is hard to tell. In order to make sure, you are not suggested to take the pets.
