About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

restriction on cumulative stay

Hi, I have an M, (12 months, multiple entries, 30 days stay per visit). Is there any restrictions on the number of days I can spend in China (during visa period or calendar year), not per stay, but in sum over all my visits?
Could not find any information on the webpages of the Chinese consulates. If you have this information, please point me to a source in the regulations, if possible.

Thanks, Michael

Hi, you can enter China any time within its validity, but make sure not exceed 30 days each stay. That is to say, you can stay for 13 months at most if you re-enter on the same day as exit (via HK or Macao).

Thanks Tracy, I have my doubts, even though this is the simplest interpretation of what is stated on the visa itself. When reading on the consulate's webpages there is plenty of information available what needs to be done to extend a stay beyond the 30 days, when you are already in China. I wonder why anyone would do this, if a weekend trip to HK solves this challenge as well. Okay, money for the trip may be a reason, but ... anyway, thanks for the reply!
