one day trip to stone forest

Hi, I'm staying in Grand Park Kunming. Is it possible to travel one day trip to SF scenic area and Jiu Xiang at early morning then going back to KunMing at the evening/ night time?

Honestly, time is a little tight if you prefer a full visit. Though, you can make it in a day! However, public transportation cannot help for the round trip! Therefore, you'd better rent a car to travel.
