Royal Caribbean March 2015 Singapore to Shanghai cruise

I am Michael from Pennsylvania and I have a question as I am going a cruise next year from Singapore to Shanghai. I am perplexed as to what kind of visa I need as the cruise line and travel agent dont know either. I am flying into Singapore and I board my ship we dock in Phu My, Vietnam which Royal Caribbean provides a visa for. They however told me that I will not need one for Hong Kong, but we dock in Xiamen then we finally arrive in Shanghai. I was told I will need ones for these locations. could someone offer me some insight as to how I would go about this and when should I apply. I have listed the ports of call below. What kind would I need? Thanks

1 Singapore --- 5:00 p.m.

2 At Sea --- ---

Hi, if you hold US passport, you enjoy free stay in HK, but you need to apply for a double entry Chinese tourist L for your stay in Xiamen and Shanghai.
