About:China Visa Application Requirements

Former Adoptee Visa

My daughter, now 18 years old with US Passport, will be traveling to China in June for the first time since her adoption. We have her original Chinese passport, current US passport, and adoption papers. We never did a formal name change as all her US documents - original green card and US passport - are in the name we gave her while all her Chinese documents are in the name they gave her.

Do we need all these papers now that she is an adult? Are we going to run into a snag?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, as I know, you have to do a Certificate of Name Change if the name in her US passport and Chinese documents are different. You can also confirm this wioth the embassy or consulate directly.
