About:China Transit Visa

my son is going to korea for a study project work during this summer for 2 months.

He will leave new delhi , India on 17th May 2014. His stay at Shangai airport is for 22 hours, Whether he needs transit visa.

Hi, visa is not required for a stay less than 24 hours, but he needs to apply for a free transit permit if he wants to go out of the airport for a hotel or sightseeing. His valid passport and airline ticket are enough for this.
