Hi, if you are visiting a friend, an invitation letter from your friend is required with following details:
(1) Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, etc.)
(2) Information on the planned visit (arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, etc.)
(3) Information on the individual (name, contact telephone number, address, signature of the inviting individual)

Hotel reservation is not mandatory if you have this letter. You can try to contact CVASC in Edinburgh if they accept your application or not if you live in N.I. Tel: 0131 2292519 If yes, the service center accept post application, and also provide mail back service.
