About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

Do you need a special phone and sim card for China

I have been reading on a few sites that its best to have a mobile specifically for China as they work on a different band frequency for a signal to other countries. Is this correct? Will my Iphone work with its European setting with a China Mobile card.

I don't agree. You can use your mobile in China and it works well indeed. And as I know, China's mobile SIM card can also be inserted into your iphone. Don't worry!

Have you actually used your iphone in China then or is this just an opinion. The reason for asking is that my friends did not. Did you buy your Iphone in the US and then used it in China. Thanks.
