About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

legal capacity from china

Were planning to have a civil wedding with my boyfriend he is a Chinese national...
We have all our requirements but the statement of civil status or the legal capacity we had didn't
Accept by the municipality of calasiao pangasinan for the reason that we personally acquired it from
China...they want us to get another one at chinese embassy here in the Philippines... My question is
What is the reason behind why this legal capacity originated from China is not acceptable instead they wanted that
Legal capacity should be issued at the Chinese embassy only...what's the difference?

all documents must be authenticated from chinese embassy in philippines, same also the procedure if your marriage will happen in china, you will also bring your documents to the philippine consulate in china for authentication purposes then you can proceed to the marriage registry. However in philippines your chinese partner need to authenticate his documents through the chinese embassy in philippines and after the validation and authentication of the documents then you can proceed to your ceremony
